My unit: Military Sealift Command Northern Persian Gulf Det. 105

All I will say is that we have had parts of our unit mobilized to active duty continuously since 9/11 through the present. By my (completely unofficial) count this has included service on 4 continents and a whole lot of different countries. I have recently been 'demoted' from Command Chief Petty Officer to lowly Ensign and am finally home from 360 days of mobilization.

What do we do?  Remarkably much the same that was done a century ago.  Read about U.S. Naval Port Officers in the Bordeaux Region: 1917-1919.  pages 1-30 and pages 31-60.

The following are just a few pictures of what I or others in my unit have have been doing the last several years.
